Agreement to Terms
By creating an account or using VaultBox, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. These Terms form a legally binding agreement between you and VaultBox. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not access or use the Service.
Eligibility
To use VaultBox, you must:
- Be at least 16 years of age
- Have the legal capacity to enter into binding agreements in your jurisdiction
- Not be prohibited from using the Service under any applicable law
- Not be a previously banned or suspended VaultBox user
Your Account
Account Responsibility
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials, all activity that occurs under your account, and notifying us immediately of any unauthorized account access.
Your Vault Password — Critical
Your vault password is your master key to your encrypted documents — it is different from your login password. We cannot recover it. It is never transmitted to or stored by our servers. If you lose it, you will permanently lose access to your encrypted documents. You are solely responsible for keeping a safe backup.

VaultBox is provided for lawful, personal, and professional document storage purposes. You agree not to use VaultBox to:
Content & Ownership
Your Ownership
You retain full ownership of all documents and files you upload to VaultBox. We claim no ownership or rights over your documents.
License to Operate
By uploading content, you grant VaultBox a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store, transmit, and process your files solely for the purpose of providing the Service (storage, transmission, and integrity verification). This does not include any right to read, analyze, sell, or share your content.
Your Responsibility
You represent that you have the legal right to store and access all content you upload, your content does not infringe any third-party rights, and your content does not violate any applicable law.
Service Availability & Limitations
Availability
We strive to keep VaultBox available at all times, but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, technical issues, or circumstances beyond our control.
Storage Limits
Your account is subject to storage limits based on your plan. Exceeding limits may result in restrictions on new uploads until storage is freed.
No Warranty on Data Recovery
We strongly recommend maintaining independent local backups of all important documents. VaultBox is not a backup service. We cannot be liable for data loss due to encryption key loss, hardware failure, or account deletion.
Privacy
Your use of the Service is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using the Service, you also agree to our Privacy Policy.
Termination
By You
You may close your account at any time through your account settings. Upon deletion, your encrypted files and personal data will be removed from our servers within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.
By Us
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account, with or without notice, if you violate these Terms, your account poses a security risk, required by law or court order, or the Service is discontinued.
Disclaimer of Warranties
Limitation of Liability
Changes to These Terms
Material changes will be communicated by updating the “Last Updated” date, sending an email notification, and displaying a notice within the Service. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
